2. When does band meet during school hours? Band meets 6th period Monday through Friday.
3. What are the time commitments?
-- A week long band camp is held in August. Physical clearance is required to march, watch for school clinic or make an appt. with your doctor early!
-- During football season, marching band rehearses on Tuesday 3-5 pm and Thursday evenings from 6-9 pm. There is a break in December.
-- Symphonic band follows football season and rehearses on Tuesdays from 3-5 pm.
-- There will be weekend competitions or parades to attend, these along with rehearsals are part of your grade.
-- Practicing your music at home, log with practice reports.

4. Does the band participate in fundraisers? Absolutely! Although we accept donations to our school band fund we still need your help.
5. Is there a fee to participate in band? No. It is a school program and funded by the school, fundraising and our generous sponsors.
6. Can I volunteer? Parent volunteers are welcomed and appreciated and provide a network of assistance for our students and staff.
7. Will being in band improve my chances for getting into college? In band, students may have rigorous school schedules while participating in rehearsals, it requires dedication and commitment, skill development, following directions, being a leader as well as a team member, likewise these are many qualities colleges will be looking for in a potential student. 8. What are the expenses I can expect? Students typically purchase their shoes and gloves, along with a band polo.
9. What are the transportation expectations? Events such as parades or competitions may involve bus or carpool transportation. It is the students'/parents' responsibility to arrange for transportation to rehearsals.
10. Can a student participate in band AND other sports or activities like football or cheer? Yes. We do our best to accommodate conflicting activities to allow for participation in band.
